GAP for Travel Country Reference

Introduction

This document details the countries that are loaded by default with new instances of GAP for Travel.

There is no single, formally accepted definition of a country and, as such, there is no single, universally agreed-upon list of countries. Therefore, for the purposes of GAP for Travel, it has been necessary to define such a list.

Note that this document does not provide political commentary / endorsement of any kind. It is for reference purposes only.

Definition

For the purposes of GAP for Travel, a country is defined as being:

• A geographical state that is a full or partial member of the United Nations (UN) and

• Included in the ISO-3166 Part 1 standard ("Codes for the representation of names of countries and their subdivisions")
