# Managing KML Overlays

These activities require the **View KML Files**, **Manage User KML Files** and **Manage Global KML Files** permissions.

## Adding KML Overlays

1. From the GAP Admin home page, click "KML Overlays" under the "Intel" section.
2. Click the "+ New KML Overlay" button.
3. Upload the KML file by dragging it onto the "Drop files here to upload" section or clicking the "Select File" button.
4. Enter an overlay name into the "Overlay Name" text box.
5. Select a minimum map zoom level at which the overlay will be displayed using the "Min zoom" text box.
6. If you want the KML overlay visible to all users, select the "Overlay visible to all users" radio button.  Otherwise, to have the overlay visible only to yourself, select "Overlay visible only to me".  Note that this option cannot be changed later.
7. Select the tenant in which the overlay will reside using the "Select Tenant" drop-down list.
8. If you want the KML overlay accessible to sub-tenant users, check the "Visible to subtenants" check box.  Note this option is only available if "Overlay visible to all users" is selected.
9. Click the "Save KML Overlay" button.

## Editing KML Overlays

1. From the GAP Admin home page, click "KML Overlays" under the "Intel" section.
2. Click on the KML Overlay you want to edit.
3. To change the overlay name, enter a new name into the "Overlay Name" text box.
4. To change the minimum map zoom level at which the overlay will be displayed, use the "Min zoom" text box.
5. If you want the KML overlay accessible to sub-tenant users, check the "Visible to subtenants" check box.  Note this option is only available if "Overlay visible to all users" is selected.
6. Click the "Save Changes" button.

## Deleting KML Overlays

1. From the GAP Admin home page, click "KML Overlays" under the "Intel" section.
2. Click on the KML Overlay you want to delete.
3. Click the "Delete KML Overlay" button.
4. At the confirmation dialog, click the "Delete KML Overlay" button.
