Managing Event Notifications
There are two types of Event Notifications:
Event Notifications (which apply to individual devices)
Global Event Notifications (which apply to more than one device in the same tenant)
Event Notifications are used to raise alerts when certain events occur such as:
Geofences being crossed
Emergency button being pressed
Low battery
Missed check-in
Adding Event Notifications for Devices
From the GAP Portal home screen, click "Devices".
Click on the device for which you want to create the notification.
Under the "Device Actions" section, click "Configure Device"
Click "Event Notifications".
Click "+".
Select the conditions in which the notification will fire from the "Match the following event" drop-down list. See Conditions for a list of possible conditions.
Click "+ Add Event" to add more conditions.
Repeat steps 6 and 7 as required.
If you want the notification to trigger only if all the conditions are met, ensure that "all" is selected in the "Match ... of the following events" drop-down list. If you want the notification to trigger if one or more of the conditions are met, change this value to "any".
Click the "Next >" button.
Select the severity from the "Event Severity" drop-down list. This will determine the colour of the notifications that are emailed to recipients and alerts that appear in the GAP Portal.
If you want an alert to appear on the GAP Portal dashboard when the event notification is triggered, check the "Raise an Alert on Dashboard" check box.
Select what actions you want to occur when the event notification is triggered from the "Actions" drop-down list.
Click "+Add Action" to add more actions.
Repeat steps 13 and 14 as required. You can add up to 10 actions per event notification.
Click the "Next >" button.
Enter a name for the notification in the "Notification name" text box.
Enter any text you want to include in the event notification message in the "Text to include in the notification message" text box.
If you want the event notification to be disabled upon creation, uncheck the "Notification Enabled" check box.
Click the "Next >" button.
Review the details for the notification and click the "OK" button.
Adding Global Event Notifications
From the GAP Portal home screen, click "Options".
Click "Global Event Notifications"
Click "+".
Select the conditions in which the notification will fire from the "Match the following event" drop-down list. See Conditions for a list of possible conditions.
Click "+ Add Event" to add more conditions.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 as required.

Select a tenant or group to which the event notification applies from the "Tenant or Group" drop-down list.

Click the "Next >" button.

Deleting Event Notifications for Devices
From the GAP Portal home screen, click "Devices".
Click on the device for which you want to create the notification.
Under the "Device Actions" section, click "Configure Device"
Click "Event Notifications".
Select the Event Notification you wish to delete.
Click the "Delete" button.
Click the "Yes, Delete" button.
Deleting Global Event Notifications
From the GAP Portal home screen, click "Options".
Click "Global Event Notifications".
Select the event notification you wish to delete.
Click the "Delete" button.
Click the "Yes, Delete" button.
