Configuring GAP for Travel Settings
Itinerary Settings
These settings are available on the "Itineraries" screen under the "Travel" section on GAP Admin:
Create itinerary and user when matching traveller not found
Enabled Disabled
If disabled, itineraries will be discarded if a matching user record is not found for the traveller.
User account role
GAP User Role name
e.g. "User" If "Create itinerary and user when matching traveller not found" is enabled, the role specified here is assigned to any users created automatically.
Create user account as disabled
Enabled Disabled
If "Create itinerary and user when matching traveller not found" is enabled, this setting determines whether any such users are created in an enabled or disabled state.
Update user account details based on itinerary data
Enabled Disabled
Determines whether traveller details (name, etc.) from itineraries update GAP user account details, if they differ.
Rules Engine Settings
Allow incomplete itineraries to be auto-approved by the Rules Engine
Enabled Disabled
If enabled, the Rules Engine will be able to automatically approve itineraries, even if traveller contact information is missing.
Ignore segment gaps in itinerary risk calculations
Enabled Disabled
If enabled, gaps of over 500KM in itinerary segments will not itinerary risk level calculations.
Country brief read receipts
Enabled Disabled
If enabled, country briefs sent via the Rules Engine will be sent as links (not attachments).
Traveller Portal Settings
These settings are available on the "Traveller Portal" screen under the "Travel" section on GAP Admin:

Hide links to Country Briefs

If enabled, country briefs are not accessible via the Traveller Portal's Travel Advice section.
Enable self-service sign-up
Enabled Disabled
Enables or disables the ability of users to sign themselves up for access to GAP via the Traveller Portal.
Show link for self-service sign-up on login screen
Enabled Disabled
If "Enable self-service sign-up" is enabled, this setting determines whether the link to the sign-up page is visible on the login screen or not.
New user state
Enabled Disabled
If "Enable self-service sign-up" is enabled, this setting determines whether user accounts created via this mechanism are enabled or disabled upon creation.
Send e-mail notification to administrators when a user signs up
Enabled Disabled
If "Enable self-service sign-up" is enabled, this setting determines whether administrators receive notifications of new user sign-ups.
Welcome e-mail includes link to Traveller Portal instead of GAP Portal
Enabled Disabled
If enabled, new user verification e-mails will link to the Traveller Portal, not the GAP Portal.
Read-only Fields
Enabled Disabled
Determines which fields can be edited by users via the My Profile section of the Traveller Portal.
