Provisioning Garmin inReach Devices

All messages sent to and received from Garmin inReach devices are first routed via Garmin’s systems prior to the Iridium satellite network. As such, Garmin’s systems and GAP need to be configured to route messages accordingly.

Please contact the Support Desk for the URL to enter in step 5 below.

1. Log in to the Garmin Portal.

2. Click "Settings".

3. Click "Portal Connect".

4. Toggle the "Outbound Settings" option.

5. Click "Edit" under the "Authentication" section and enter the applicable URL in the "Outbound URL" text box.

6. Click "Test" and ensure that "Success" appears under the button.

7. Toggle in "Inbound Settings" option.

8. Enter a user name and password of your choosing in the “IPC User Name” and “IPC Password” text boxes respectively. Ensure the password you choose is strong.

9. Supply the Inbound URL shown and the credentials you created in step 8 to the Support Desk.
