# Dumb Phone

The IVR Check-in service allows a user to check-in from a traditional landline or mobile telephone via a phone call.

## Adding a Device

The phone number you will be calling from must be registered on GAP as a device of type "Dumb Phone".

If the "Dumb Phone" device type is not available for your tenant, please contact your administrator.

1. In the GAP Portal, click "Devices" from the banner menu.
2. Click "+".
3. Select a tenant from the "Tenant" drop-down list.
4. Select "Dumb Phone" from the "Device Type" drop-down list.
5. Enter a unique the phone number in international format in the "Device Id" text box.
6. Enter a display name for the device in the "Friendly Name" text box.
7. Assign a user to the device using the "Assigned User" drop-down list.
8. Click the "OK" button.

## Options

When the call is answered, you will be prompted to enter your PIN number.

Once authorised, you will be greeted by your first name and then presented with the following options:

* Press 1 to check in
* Press 2 to check out
* Press 3 to leave a message
* Press 4 to hear the options again
* Press 0 to speak to the operator

#### Option 1

Choosing this option will cause a check-in message to be logged against the phone from which you are calling.

#### Option 2

Choosing this option will cause a check-out message to be registered for the phone you are dialling in from.  This is for informational purposes only.

#### Option 3

You may leave a voice message with this option.  On the GAP portal, a message will appear in the phone Inbox.  Clicking on the message will cause the recording to be played back to the user.

#### Option 4

This option repeats the menu options.

#### Option 0

Choosing this option will cause your call to be connected to an operator, if this option has been enabled by your administrator.
