# Your Settings

## Configuring Regional Settings

1. In the GAP Portal, click "Options" from the banner menu.
2. Click "My Profile".
3. Click "Portal Settings".
4. Select a time zone in which all dates and times will be displayed using the "Time Zone" drop-down list.
5. Select a date time format in which all dates and times will be displayed using the "Date & Time Format (and Language, if available)" drop-down list.
6. Select a display language from the "Language" drop-down list.
7. Select a co-ordinate format from the "Position Format" drop-down list.
8. Click the "OK" button.

## Configuring Alert Settings

You can configure an audible sound and the notification behaviour when there is a new "Critical" alert or a device enters "Emergency" state.

1. In the GAP Portal, click "Options" from the banner menu.
2. Click "My Profile".
3. Click "Portal Alert Settings".
4. Select whether on screen alerts hide automatically after 10 seconds or whether they need to be closed manually via the "On Screen Alerts" section options.
5. Select your preferred alert sound settings using the "Audible Sound Alerts" drop-down list.
6. If you select "Play once for new alerts", "Play every minute until all alerts acknowledged" or "Play continuously until all alerts acknowledged", select a sound to play using the "Sound File" drop-down list.
7. Click the "OK" button.
