# Running Reports

These actions require the **View Reports Web App** permission.

Access to data included in reports will depend on other permissions assigned to your user role.

## Running a Report

It may take time to load large datasets.  Consider using smaller datasets or using [Report Schedules](/monitoring-and-response/reporting/managing-report-schedules.md).

1. From the GAP Reports app home screen, click the name of the report you want to run.  You can filter by report type using the "Filter" options on the right-hand side of the page.
2. Select your report parameters and filters from the right-hand side "Filter" section.
3. Click the "Get Report" button.
4. Once loaded, you can sort the output and apply additional report filters using the <i class="fa-ellipsis-vertical">:ellipsis-vertical:</i>button next to each column.
5. To view more results or page through the data, using the paging controls at the bottom of the data table.

## Exporting Report Data

1. From the GAP Reports app home screen, click the name of the report you want to run.
2. Select your report parameters and filters from the right-hand side "Filter" section.
3. Click the "Get Report" button.
4. Click the "Export" button at the top right-hand side of the report data table.
5. Select an export format from the drop-down list.
6. Save the resulting file to your local computer.
